Kielder Water Sailing Club

The results of the Sept. 2019 Open appear on Sailwave here.

In Summary:

  1. The winners of the Osprey class were Rob Shaw and Ian Little of KWSC;
  2. The Handicap winners were Colin and Oliver Murray of Blackpool & Fleetwood Sailing Club in their Norfolk Punt.
  3. The Laser class was hotly contested and Oscar Shilling of Derwent Reservoir Sailing Club just beat Tim Keighley of West Riding Sailing Club on count back.

Thanks to everyone for taking part and especially to our visitors, some of whom has travelled long distances. See you again next year!

Our next SUP weekend is 8th and 9th September. We had a great time in August and can't wait to do it again. Welcome to Elaine and Colin, new members who have joined us to SUP and to new member Michelle who is a sailor but came along to try SUP and enjoyed it very much. As before If you require any further details or want to join us for a session, day or all weekend, please let Julie know.

There is a SUP Weekend at KWSC on 10-12 August with informal coaching and group paddleboarding.  Join us for taster sessions and paddling. Detals on the poster below.

Visitors are welcome to visit to see our facilities and either have a taster session or if you chose to join us (half price membership from now until 31st December) you could do the 2 hour BSUPA level 1 Ready to Ride course (free, uncertificated or £30 certificated).

The IOCA North East Championships take place at KWSC on 14/15th July. You can find more information including NOR, Entry Form and online payment link on our Open page.

The Youth Windsurfing National Championships took place recently and the club team managed by Brian Coates did outstandingly well.
